Frequently Asked Questions
Q: As a filmmaker accepted in the London Rolling Film Festival Official Selection, will I be able to bring any guests to the festival?
A: One free entry is allocated for each selected film (as we do request for the filmmaker to be attending). Additional tickets for guests, such as members of the cast and crew, would need to be purchased. However, we highly recommend inviting your team to attend, as the event provides valuable networking opportunities with industry professionals and offers promotion through red carpet photos and interviews.
Q: Can I buy multiple tickets?
A: Yes you can, exception made for the London Rolling Film Festival Membership and the Festival Pass, which are nominal.
Q: I don’t have the required DCP (Digital Cinema Package) for my film, can you assist?
A: We understand that not all filmmakers have a DCP for their film, and we’re here to assist you. In order to support our selected filmmakers, we have partnered with www.dcpsquare.com that specializes in DCP creation. As an exclusive benefit, we have negotiated a 10% discount for all filmmakers associated with the London Rolling Film Festival. When contacting the company, please make sure to mention the London Rolling Film Festival to avail of the discount. This is merely one alternative, and naturally, you are welcome to pursue the DCP with any other company you prefer.
Q: Are there any specifics for the DCP?
A: DCP ratios depend on original picture size. But should be 1998×1080 FLAT or 2048×858 SCOPE – 2k or 4K – 24fs if possible – 5.1 mix or stereo is fine.
Q: I don’t have Film Classification licence (BBFC) for my film, can you assist?
A: All feature films, short films and trailers shown in the UK must be classified by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), unless permission has been granted by the local authority in the area where the work is being shown. If your film has been selected to be showcased at our festival and you do not have a BBFC for it, we can assist you in obtaining one specifically for the purpose of our screening. We will make the necessary arrangements and request the classification from our local authority. The contribution required for this service will depend on the length of your film. We will provide you with more details regarding the specific costs involved once we have reviewed the duration of your film.
