Barry Ryan

Barry has over 25 years experience as a content creator, journalist, broadcast journalist and TV producer and director. He was a BBC Trainee and worked across a variety of genres including factual, factual entertainment, Children’s, Music & Entertainment and Documentaries & History, science, Features, Entertainment and Arts. He has worked for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. He was Head of Programmes at Propeller TV – bi-national and bi-lingual TV channel for the international Chinese that broadcasts on Sky, Freeview and online in Europe and in China. He has worked as a consultant for Shalit Global, Sony Music, the MOBO Organisation and Sainsburys. He has produced prime time programming for ITV, BBC, Channel 4, Five and a range of digital channels including A&E, Discovery, UKTV channels, MTV, VH1, ITV 2,3 & 4 and many others.

David Walton

David worked at the British Film Institute and also holds an MA in Cinema & Television from the University of Amsterdam. He was Head of Development at Straight TV and a founder of Free@Last TV. David has initiated many of the company’s commissions and produced and directed shows including Nu Music, Revisiting Brideshead, Sex, Drugs & Ruck N’ Roll, Park Life Weekender and The Flash Gordon Story. David is joint executive producer of Agatha Raisin for Sky One and is responsible for sourcing and developing drama content for the company.

James Simpson

James is a celebrated music writer. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama he wrote and directed Ulysses, a children’s rock opera, which had a sell-out run at the Rainbow theatre, was filmed for BBC Television and won the Italian best International Childrens Film Award. He has written music for television, films and records. Television programmes include Noels House Party, Spitting Image, Through the Keyhole, Feature Blood Tide, Linda La Plantes award winning drama, ˜Hidden Talents and major commercials including Peugeot, Ford, Kelloggs, Natwest Bank, Barclaycard, Fiat and Cadburys. Chris has fingers in many pies across the arts and media, spanning a 25+-year in-house and freelance career in book publishing, television, digital media, music and film. Starting out as an editor at Letts Educational, he was Consultant Producer for the ITV book series, You’re Booked!; a pioneer of World Book Day in the UK; and Research Director at StoryCode, the online recommendation engine for fiction that featured on BBC TV’s Dragons’ Den.

Airell Anthony Hayles

Airell Anthony Hayles is a freelance screenwriter/ producer whose short Blue Moon was received well internationally, and played at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for Screamfest, LA. He’s currently in pre production for the thriller feature Heckle, which shoots in November. He also works with Carnaby International, managing the London investment sales division.

Stephen Cooper-Rade

Stephen Cooper-Rade is a private investor.
Executive Producer’s credits include The Wee Man (2013) and 
Rise of the Footsoldier 3 (2017) 
Stephen has been involved in the film industry for nearly 20 years initially as an investor in individual films
then progressing to investing with companies covering many aspects of the film production and media side.
He recently became an executive producer helping in the post production stage.

Winter Ridge directed by Dom Lenoir

Our guest for the 8th edition of the London Rolling Film Festival “Feature Corner” is Director Dom Lenoir.
Dom’s passion for storytelling and powerful narratives is best suited for the big screen. This includes international shooting in Sicily, Scotland, Austria, Spain and Germany, showing an ability to create high production values and adaptability on any budget from short to feature level. His work has been Official Selection at the London Independent Film Festival, as well as winning various awards including ‘Accolade award for Excellence in filmmaking’ at the Hollywood Florida Film Festival in 2016. His latest feature is set for a 2018 release. We will show the trailer of his feature film “Winter Ridge”, starring Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones), Matt Hookings (Maleficent), Olwen Kelly (The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and Alan Ford (Snatch). It tells the story of a young detective whose wife falls into a coma and, unable to cope with her condition, throws himself into a case where he finds himself on the hunt for a serial killer.
